Scary Stories III

It’s happened again.

Something scary. In my house.

I was just hanging out at my desk, multitasking. And then it happened. At first I thought it could be air coming in through the window in the closet. But that would only explain the closet door. And if it were that, the door would be doing this the entire time we’ve lived here.

The closet door and bedroom door opened at the same time.

I froze in my chair. I didn’t know whether to close the doors or not. I’ll admit, I was afraid that 1) I would not be able to close them or 2) they would open by themselves again. So, I just sat at my desk until the scariness passed.

After ten minutes or so, I closed the closet door. To be honest, I was scared a Boogie Man would come out and scream, or blow it’s hot breath in my face… but it didn’t. Thank you, Mr. Boogie Man.

I decided it was bedtime, but I was too scared to close the bedroom door. I contemplated closing it, because I like being in a little box while I sleep, and I don’t want people hearing me in case I start sleep talking. All I remember was turning off the tv.

When I woke up the next day, my bedroom door was closed. At first I thought it was my mom closing it. But when I asked her, she denied it.

I carried about my business as usual. Sat at my desk, chatted it up, ate some breakfast, did some homework, and BAM! It happened again. At this point, I was annoyed, I opened my bedroom window to see if it was windy, but as soon as I opened it, my bedroom door slammed shut. I know that this wasn’t because I opened the window, if the door did anything due to me opening the window, the outside would have to be sucking air out of my room to be able to slam the door. It wasn’t windy, and the air wasn’t being sucked out of my room.

One day, I’ll get to the bottom of this. For the moment, I’m scared of the scary.

You're braver than I am. I probably would have started crying. That would be way too much for me to handle.

I am totally impressed that you managed to turn off the television. When spooky crap like this happens to me, I have to sleep with the TV on so that I can feel not alone. The noise and the light is somehow comforting. Like a big girl security blanket.

I wonder if everyone has a scary story like yours? We had a 'thing' called "Betty"...as my daughters called it...perhaps I should blog about her someday.

Love your honesty...new follower from FTLOB!

Dude, you are Hispanic and you live in a house which means that there is a 97% chance of it being haunted. I wish I could give you advice one scary stuff but I'm in the 3% of non-haunted. Sorry. :(

We just moved into this apartment. The house was built in 1894 or something and I did a little google search on it but nothing came up. So, anyway. One day while my husband was still at work I sat at the computer, just, you know.. hanging out, browsing some websites. Suddenly the power went out. I sat in the dark for like a minute, then it went back on. And then the same f*****g thing happened again, like two minutes later. I was so creeped out and shouted "whatever or whoever is in here, leave me the hell alone!!!" and yeah, it was over. I still have no idea what happened. I asked my neighbors if their power went off, too, but all of them declined.

Oh, and one time I wanted to go into the basement to check if we have washers down there.. I didn't even get to make two steps into it. It looked so creepy. I sent my husband down the next day but he came up after like 5 minutes. We then went down together and the basement looks like some serial killer used to hold his victims down there. I'm not even kidding.

Life sucks if you believe in ghosts. I am scared of everything.
