Mondays are generally a bad day. They mark the beginning of the work (or school) week, and are proof that the weekend is officially over. But I found the best way to balance them out. No mater how bad the day starts, you can always guarantee that it was a good day if you're alive at the end.
Bad Monday:
It was super hot when I left my house this morning. Just so I don’t seem like a super lazy bum, I walk to the train station, which is like a quarter mile away from my house. The muggyness (if that’s even a word) made me sweat from the moment I left the house. It was pretty intense. According to the Hg, it was 93 degrees. But, there was no sun out and it was very very cloudy.
I’m a super girly girl, so I moisturize… and by moisturize I mean I use like 4183284 different face creams all for different functions (beeteedubs – this is how I stay looking like I’m 15). The bad thing is it makes you sweaty.
I was a block and a half into my walk, when I felt like I burned off a pound of fat from my face. I was able to wipe off most of the sweat from my face, but I’m vain, and I didn’t want to take off my sunglasses because I look hella cool in them. And then I felt stupid for not taking them off… I got creamy sweat in my eye. It BURNED. I can’t begin to explain how much it burned… but I cried from one eye. For about 10 minutes.
Good Monday:
The train is air conditioned, and I sat near a vent. This was the highlight of my commute.
Bad Monday:
Although I watched the news in the morning before I left, I kind of just hoped that the predicted storms would not happen. But they did. I was on the L when it began to pour. I didn’t really think much of it. It’s not the first time it’s ever rained. Duh. But at one stop, the rain was actually going into the train car when the door opened.
Gee. Great. Awesome.
We were stuck on the elevated tracks two stops before mine. We were there for 10 minutes. Maybe less, but it felt like 10. All the while there were scary loud thunderclaps and super strong winds. I may have thought I was going to die.
Good Monday:
I didn’t die.

Fuck, eye cream burn. ewww. ouch. (I was laughing at you though, hahaha, c'mon...too cool to not wipe your eyes, hahaha) I mean, oh, wow, the nerve of that sun! ;)
Also your scale for good verses bad is a little skewed. I mean, it basically renderes all mondays ever "good" mondays as I have yet to have died on one. Personally, I could never get the hang of thursdays.
Hahaha this is hilarious. I hate when something gets in my eye on the way to work. I have to ride the bus so it's incredibly awkward. I don't know where you live but it has been incredibly muggy here in D.C. too! I HATE when you walk outside and immediately start to sweat. It makes my hair all frizzy too :(
Haahahaha :)
This is too funny!
